Emma Lady Hamilton was a blacksmith’s daughter who became Lord Nelson’s mistress and developped what she called her "attitudes": a mix of poses, dance and theatre using tunics and large veils. She launched this new form of entertainment and the new fashion of using tunics and veils.
The Alfex lady watch ref. 5734 is well representing this daring woman. Its squared case appears very simple like Emma’s origins but it hides some special features: the ornamental rim in a different color, the single simili stone on the dial, the sapphire crystal and a Swiss movement.
