SYON

Syon House in West London is the most impressive work by the neoclassic interior designer Robert Adam. The main elements of the house are marble chimneypieces, shuttering doors, fluted columns with Corinthian capitals, niches into the thick wall for functioning as bookshelves along with a rich and light decoration and stucco-covered walls and ceiling. In Adam’s project there was a central domed rotunda with a circular inner colonnade meant for the main interior courtyard.The gent watch ref. 5730, with its particular design on the dial, bring us back to this rotunda, this circular space planned as courtyard.The geometry of the dial is symmetric and yet unusual. Beneath eight classicl indexes we have four horizontal and curved indexes.
